Paterra Custom Homes received four Sand Dollar Awards at the 2026 Sand Dollar Awards presented by the Collier Building Industry Association (CBIA), recognizing the company’s work on two Shadow Wood residences in Estero.
Paterra Custom Homes received the following honors:
- Whole House Remodel, $3 million to $4 million: 10225 Orchid Ridge Lane, Shadow Wood
- Best Kitchen Design, $5 million to $7 million: 10225 Orchid Ridge Lane, Shadow Wood
- Best Outdoor Living Area, $5 million to $7 million: 10225 Orchid Ridge Lane, Shadow Wood
- Best Single Feature, $100,000 to $300,000: 22957 Shady Knoll Drive, Shadow Wood
The annual Sand Dollar Awards recognize excellence in the Collier County building industry, honoring builders, developers, designers, architects and other professionals for outstanding work in residential and commercial construction and design.
The awards highlight Paterra Custom Homes’ work on two distinct residences. At 10225 Orchid Ridge Lane, Paterra Custom Homes completed a full-scale renovation that transformed a dated 6,110-square-foot lakefront residence into a contemporary home designed around modern living, entertaining and indoor-outdoor connection. The project included a reconfigured open-concept floor plan, updated plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems, a reimagined kitchen anchored by a large island and architectural details that connect the space to the surrounding living areas, and a redesigned outdoor living area featuring an expanded lanai, custom pool, spa and outdoor kitchen. The residence earned Sand Dollar Awards for Whole House Remodel, Best Kitchen Design and Best Outdoor Living Area, and was also recognized with an Aurora Award for Best Renovated or Restored Residential Project.
At 22957 Shady Knoll Drive, Paterra Custom Homes earned a Sand Dollar Award for Best Single Feature, recognizing a custom seven-bunk room designed to create a memorable gathering space for children and visiting family.
